Did You Know? Felt Edition

Sustainable felt sleeves for awards
Stewardship is the careful and responsible management
of something entrusted to one's care.

Since our founding in 2011, we have set out to build a business that acts as a good steward of our world. We evaluate small and large decisions with that question in mind: does this decision contribute to us being good stewards of our environment and resources? Fabricating our awards in the USA with materials that are sourced close to home was one of those pivotal decisions. Another major decision was the packaging of our awards - creating a special unboxing experience while utilizing sustainable materials. The handsome felt sleeves, in which each of our awards arrives, have become one of our brand’s signature design elements. Today, we are pleased to share details with you about how those felt sleeves contribute to our stewardship initiatives.

COLLABORATION WITH OPEN ARMS STUDIO

We support our local social enterprises by having our felt sleeves sewn
by a team of refugee employees at Open Arms Studio,
a made in the USA cut-and-sew production studio based in Austin, Texas.

SUSTAINABLE UNBOXING EXPERIENCE

The felt sleeves add not only protection to our finely finished awards,
they also add a personal touch to the unboxing experience for Trophyology honorees.
